Brian Storming Techniques

We live in a society which holds all types of people. Some are very successful and always find ways to progress more. Others are hardly making ends meet. Why is it so? A friend of mine answered to this question that it is the difference in mental intelligence of these people. Their success level will match with they're IQ scores. I thought for a while and then realized that it is not possible because a person earning 20 times than the other cannot be 20 times intelligent. There could be only a difference of few IQ points in both... So now question comes that what makes the difference? Why is there such huge difference in lives of people? Today I am going to discuss a few things in this regard.

The way of acting is the difference. We have heard of a phrase that, 'Great people don't do great things, they do ordinary things in great ways.' This is totally true, Intelligence is not IQ, it is a way of acting in different situations. Ordinary people get many wonderful ideas which can transform their lives completely but they do nothing of them thinking of lack of money, time or fear of losing what they already have. But successful people try to find ways to achieve their goals. They always work on their most important priority and leave all others.

Average people think averagely and have thoughts like - 'It is too expensive, I might never be able to buy that', or 'I am stuck in my job, I cannot spare time for holidays' or 'I am poor, I can't do that' etc. Whereas successful people never ruin their minds with negatively and they have thoughts like - 'It is expensive so I must find some way to get it', 'I will enjoy my holidays to the fullest', or even if they get huge losses in business, they use words like ’broke’ for themselves instead of 'poor' as broke is temporary but poor is eternal (lifelong)...

Our mind is a very powerful piece of machinery made by God but we know very less about it. That is why we are not able to use it efficiently. But the successful people know a lot more than us and are determined and disciplined to accomplish all their goals.
Here I am going to discuss one special technique that is used by all successful men and women. This technique is known as the Brain Storming Technique.
This technique forces our mind to work at extra ordinary levels and give ideas that might not be possible to get on day to day working otherwise. For performing this exercise we need a notebook, a pen, and persistence to do it regularly.

Steps:

Write your goal in detail and with full clarity. For e.g. what can I do to earn the same amount of money that I am currently working by working 2 hours less?

Now start thinking of ways by which you can accomplish this goal successfully.

Write down 20 different solutions to this problem. All solutions should be entirely different so that any one solution can be picked to achieve the goal.
·

It will take a lot of time in the beginning, will require your total concentration. But when you will cross the 10 solution mark, you will be amazed to see what you are writing.
·
In most cases the last solution is the best solution and worth all other 19 solutions combined together.

This technique force a person to use all senses internally or externally along with total concentration to write solutions. This is so much brain power that you might not have used before in your entire life. Writing is very important in this exercise and this cannot be done orally. You can accomplish anything in your life by this single method. This method is used by all peak performing human beings.

This article is all about brain storming technique and I have already mentioned it above. You and I have several rare opportunities today to get inside the minds of the richest people on the planet. There are some amazing lessons that we can learn from them. I want to share a short lesson that I learned from billionaire investor, Warren Buffet.

Lessons from a Billionaire
before we dig into Buffet's amazing secrets for wealth, I want to ask you a question.

What are you doing on a daily basis to get yourself closer to your goals and dreams? What are you reading? Who are you listening to? Are you taking action? Are you monitoring and assessing how well your actions are producing the success that you desire?

A great philanthropist
once said that it’s not what you do once in your life that makes the big differences, It is what you do on a daily basis. The difference between success and failure, for most people, is about 5-7 things you either do or don't do each day.

This morning, I picked up my laptop and went straight to YouTube.com. I spent my waking moments listening to the two richest men in the U.S. (possibly the two richest in the world). I did a quick search for Bill Gates and Warren Buffet and spent over an hour listening to these men.

Few years ago, I was reading a book called, "The Road Ahead” by Bill Gates. A friend of mine asked me, "Why are you reading THAT book?” I told him, "If the richest man in the world writes a book telling me what the future is going to be like, I think I need to read it.” To me, that was a no brainer.

This is why I get up in the morning and fill my mind with thoughts from the successful people. To me, if I want my life to be any better, if I want to make it more happening and be more successful, doing this is essential.

Of all of the times that I'd listened to Warren Buffet, I never heard him give a three point message on success and amassing wealth. This morning was the exception. This is what I learned.

Mr. Buffet gave these three keys to his own success. Take them to head and to heart. Memorize them. Then, do them.

1. Have The Right Heroes – I would add, choose great mentors for your life. These people have what you want and their advice will surely get you closer to your goals.

However, it doesn't require personal one on one coaching for someone to be your mentor. Mentors that you will want to pattern your life after and learn from, generally, are our spiritual Guru, authors etc. There is something inherent in doing great things. You want to leave clues for others to follow.

“Every great student has a great teacher. Every successful athlete has a great coach.

Pattern your life around those whom you admire the most. People you would call a hero. Follow their advice, their way of talk, read their books. Do whatever it takes to get into their minds. Do it consistently.

You might be asking, “Well, do I really need to make them my hero?” I would say, ''Yes!” If the person that you choose as a mentor is not someone that you can look up to, respect and want to pattern yourself after, then they probably don't qualify as a mentor. You need to be inspired by who they are, what they've done and how you can learn from all the clues that they've left.

Choose your heroes wisely.

2. Follow Your Passion – I've never seen anyone get so amazingly excited about picking stocks and making calculated and profitable investments as Warren Buffet.

If the work that you do every day, doesn't inspire you, then you need to make a plan to get into the job or career that does inspire you. I've found that until you can turn your passion into profit, then, you'll never realize your true potential.

Some great questions that changed my life are, “What would you do if money was not an object in your life?” The next, “What would do if you knew that you could not fail?” These questions changed my life. When you are able to answer them honestly, then you will know what your deepest passion is.

3. Invest in Yourself – This one blew me away. Think about it. Likely the most successful investor in history advising you to invest in yourself. When you stop and consider that the greatest rewards in life are fulfilment, happiness and a sense of accomplishment, then you realize how important this step truly is.

How do you invest in yourself? Well, you can do it with formal education. You can do it by choosing a job, career or company that you can learn from and which will help you achieve your goals.

I believe that the greatest way to invest in yourself is to 'put your money and energy where you mind is.Your mind will reap you the greatest returns imaginable. And the best way to act on this is through self-education.

Read the right books. Invest in yourself by getting the audio programs, instructional and teaching programs that will add value to your knowledge, skills and talents.

Whatever you want to do in your life, you will very likely find that someone has forged the way and left clues. Seek out those clues and then follow up and follow through.

I'm honoured to be able to share these amazing clues that Warren Buffet has left for you and me. I'm also quite honoured to know them. As I said earlier, take them to heart and head and make a huge leap closer to the life of your destiny.

What I have written here is to make you plan your life ahead. This is useful for people from all ages and cultures. Students can use it to learn talents that will make their life easy, middle age will use it to grow their career, and old age will use it to pursue their passion and make use of their free time to the fullest. Whether it is spirituality, career, money or leisure, you can have it all. All the best.
